Little Hurricane at Abandoned Playland, CA

Last month I enjoyed styling an incredible double shoot at a long forgotten amusement park. Shot by Rebecca & Kevin Joelson, the always camera-friendly Little Hurricane frolicked through the rusted remains of carnival rides.
It was an irreplaceable setting and irreplaceable talent. Special thanks to Andrea Duggan at The Lab for help with CC's hair, Rudy Ludekes for the good times, and of course Lil Hurri for the warmly haunted hearts.

The Holy Grail

Yesterday I styled a double photo shoot in the beautifully rusted, rotting core of Playland, CA. Part 1 was a County Fair series with the timelessly lovable Little Hurricane, shot by local music multimedia wonders Rebecca & Kevin Joelson.

Part 2 was a creep show inspired high fashion shoot photographed by the amazing Emily Soto. Power creators Andrea Duggan and Jennifer Kolhagen provided hair and makeup. Ultra gorgeous models Alex Womack and Jessica Minter rocked the sultry clothes and climbed around on dangerous things.

The shoot was a whirlwind of everything that I love, and flew by as if it were not a 12 hour day. I can't wait to see the images from both talent teams, and I treasure my own once in a lifetime memories!

Backstage at Rachel Zoe

Last week Nordstrom Fashion Valley hosted a clothing line launch for Rachel Zoe. The lady was present and announced her line as the models walked down the runway. Besides an awkwardly narrow hallway passing, I was too busy with backstage duties to officially meet Rachel, but many lucky fans and one particularly adorable little boy enjoyed moments of her attention.
As for her line, of course it is amazing. With directly 1970s influence and just perfect construction details, I managed to want it all. Some favorites included the leather tuxedo jacket (available in camel and black), a brick colored maxi dress with just the right amount of skin peeking, and the Blake shoe which corseted up the ankle and tied with silk tassels (already available at Nordstrom in the Salon Shoe section). Liquid Architecture

Last week I styled a Suity Shoot shot by one of my favorite people, Ariana Drehsler. The lovely/tough Natalie Nutman worked some amazing vintage fashions from Bad Madge & Co in South Park, where the vintage clothing seems to be getting better and better by the day! White Gorilla Media joined us to shoot some living breathing fashion footage, and as usual all of these wonderful people had a lovely time.
We shot in Little Italy near Beech and Kettner, using the trolley station and the amazing historical County Building, which is soon to be knocked down. Another majestic building lost to the parking structure/tourism board gods.

Featuring Alex Womack and Josh Puente, the amazing Jen Kolhagen created one of a kind head pieces and asked me to provide props and wardrobe for the occasion. Fiori Magazine recently published a fashion editorial photographed by Emily Soto and styled by Yours Truly. Featuring America's Next Top Model candidate Jaclyn Poole, with hair and makeup by Amber Shamshoian, we shot at The Rockin L Ranch in Dehesa Valley, CA. A Belated Halloween Retrospective

Holy middle of November, Batman! So busy working on new goods and fashion shows this month that I never shared pics from Halloween. Another factor is that sudo-sister-in-law hosted her birthday costume party one week after Halloween. I had a few costumes (built on vintage of course) but my character from The Birds was my favorite. Enjoy a few of my very favorites from the nights and I surely hope that you enjoyed your own spooky day <3

Hitchcockian: Vintage 1940s Floral Dress, Angry Black Raven from Junc Boutique, Bloody pecked-out eyes. Also accompanying were an heirloom fur cuffed 1940s sweater and leather gloves I couldn't deal with.

Kaycee as Nancy Grace in the perfect thrifted vesty pant suit. "Booze and hot pants!".

John as Danger Mau5...I couldn't tell you how he put this together but it was incredibly impressive. (Particularly the lights that matched up to music and the tiniest rhinestones ever, covering the whole thing).

Joanne as a sexy cop lady, more specifically a sexy cop lady from Chromeo's Hot Mess Video. This outfit earned us lots of respect from the band when she wore it to see them at House of Blues last month. Emily as a gypsy in Phaero's coin bra and a Jennafer Grace Turban...For those of you who don't know, this is the Bollywood dance move that white people can do.

Post Halloween had me feeling lazy, so I went with the always easy (in my closet) Studio 54 chick. Grey 1977 pinstripe palazzo vesty pant suit; gifted from Babs Adams. Glittery platforms by Steve Madden. Jeweled snake bracelet, Moschino disco watch and sparkly costume rings all gifted from loved ones. The Goods

Coming up faster than retail Christmas decor is Black Friday. A talented group of young artists and designers are gathering for a marvelous anti-Black Friday event called The Goods Show. Taking place at a recently converted and gorgeous warehouse in University Heights called 3rd Space, which was updated from a dye house and retains incredibly lovely charm in addition to some of my favorite things (glass door knobs, fancy moldings, good looking artists, etc).

This event will be a grand ole time for so many reasons;
(a) All are locally created wares by aforementioned good looking artists.
(b) There are 2 bars! One featuring beer and wine, the other starring vodka.
(c) Included in the very affordable entry price of $5, you will receive a drink ticket and a raffle ticket for which you could win some super awesome items.
(d) There will be food trucks serving delicious locally farmed items.
(e) There is a vintage arcade room! As well as live music and a piano lounge.
(f) Said warehouse is next door to Small Bar, where they serve fried pickles and Delirium, among other great things that you don't find everywhere.
(g) It's going to be fun!!!

Enjoying a gloriously rainy day for San Diego; old Tom Waits is growling at me while I sip chocolate coffee in the most perfectly ugly orange striped Kurt Cobain sweater gifted to me by darling Emily.
Looking out at over a muddy yard it is touch to imagine how warm, giggly and ground-centric we were during this photo shoot last month shot by Emily Powley. We also had a great time saying maize. I had an incredible task pairing down which images to post since I am in love with them all.

Exactly 84 years ago today, something magical happened. Leah Barbara Carter was born and took this world by storm. I am of course referring to my super super stylish grandmother/best friend/soul mate who we in the know refer to as Nina. Only the spunkiest of the spunky truly deserve a Halloween Birthday, and that she is.

"There is nothing new but what has been forgotten"-Marie Antoinette.

Last weekend I had an incredible time with The Lab at their 3 Year Anniversary Party at West Coast Tavern/The North Park Theatre. The theme was Marie Antoinette and the hair was amazing! I had so much fun hanging out at The Lab while the staff/loving family worked on our gorgeous models. Everyone was so creative and built unbelievable and sturdy hair sculptures to impress.
I brought down some Jennafer Grace garments (old and new), and worked with the stylists on fun, loosely Marie themed looks. Everyone seemed to have an amazing time surrounded by friends.
The Lab is a wonderful salon to visit, every last person is super nice and will collectively make you feel so at home! They have helped me much with perfect styling for shows and shoots over the years and I adore the sweet lovelies and their endlessly talented hands.
The amazing and enchanting Ariana Drehsler took some pictures of the girls before and after the show. Not only is Ariana talented and unfairly beautiful, but she also has a heart of gold. From covering Occupy San Diego to visting Occupy New York soon to starting her own non profit group to dropping everything and moving into a war zone, Ariana Drehsler is the type of soul that will make you want to work on your own. Girl crush: activated.

Delicious Autumn

Longing for luxe colored layers and piecy outfits, fall feels like my favorite season each time it arrives. I had a ball styling a shoot with Emily Powley this weekend. The always incredibly angelic Amanda Thorne-Pritchard provided gorgeous hair and makeup and brought wonderful husband Jeremy Kyle Pritchard (and his delicious home brewed beer. Bonus!). We all collaborated on outdoor romantic getaway mini sets which we shot at my place.
Our ridiculously ridiculously ridiculously good-looking models were Julieta Vargas and Ciro Sepulveda, who are an actual and adorable couple and were super fun!
The afternoon went so fast! I had a great time and look forward to working with everyone soon. Enjoy some sneak peak pictures and look out for Emily's always unreal final shots...

This week, I was honored to shoot with the amazing Emily Soto and the incredibly beautiful Jaclyn Poole (of America's Next Top Model!). The setting was amazing: The Rockin L Ranch hosted our party and made us feel so at home. With a magnificent view in the Dehesa Valley, The Rockin L Ranch is an upscale horse ranch and training facility where you can learn equestrial skills and competitively train. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the owners are a blast! It was such an incredible and fun day. The wonderful Amber Shamshoian provided hair and makeup, and Jaclyn made the styling look incredible!
Everyone was such a pleasure to work with, and I'm beyond excited to share my behind the scenes images with you. Special thanks to the Ludekes Family, Joy Marie Conca, and Vic Soto.

God, Fish, and a Desert Full of Green Lawns

Since his birthday was overshadowed by the filming of a certain music video, boyfriend and I decided to celebrate ours collectively last week with a trek round the under-appreciated Southern California desert. First destination: Salvation Mountain. We could use a little saving.
Despite questionable googlemap directions, we managed to pull up just in time to meet the creator Leonard Knight himself. Having made the mountain out of nothing but dirt, hay, water, and old paint over a decade; this 90+ year old man is a walking demonstration of enlightenment, faith and love. He is calmer and kinder than you could possibly imagine, like a regular Slab City Ghandi. Though we claim no particular religion, the faith and dedication that created this monument is even more extraordinary than the mountain itself. The only real ritual here is to donate your old paint; Leonard was excited that we brought colors. The mountain is huge, with walk through tunnels and rooms to impress. To die without seeing this would be a true pity, so please get your ass out there.

This plaque almost made me cry. Leonard deserved it.

Next stop was the Lizard Tree Library at Slab City. This...fascinating little town is located directly behind Salvation Mountain and is populated only with people who want to escape the world and live in a 120 degree anarchist paradise. There are no paved streets, no running water, no restaurants, no phones or electricity. But there is of course a Christian Center, and a magnificent theatre made of recycled trash! Open 24/7 the library, filled with quirky literature and lots of spiders, is run entirely on the honor policy. We dropped off some old books, wandered around, got way too hot for coastal long-hairs and moved along.

Next stop was the ever charming Salton Sea. Situated in between El Centro and Palm Springs, this massive lake is one of Southern California's saddest stories. Once a vacation epicentre for the rich and famous of the 1960s, the sea is almost 40 miles long and 20 miles wide. There are tiny islands scattered across it that would be ideal for vacation homes and water activities, if the sea weren't so polluted and rancid that it kills most of it's animal inhabitants.

Cut off from all other water sources in the 70s, the Salton Sea stormed and flooded in the early 1980s, wiping out most of the remaining visitor's structures. It has been left to rot and poison North America's rare bird populations who come to feed and drink, as this is one of Southern California's last undeveloped wetlands. Every so often the fish mostly die from botchulism, making for fantastic pictures and an unbearable smell. What's left of the Salton Sea and the once thriving communities surrounding it are beautifully disgusting ruins and a very tragic story. See more in this awesome documentary narrated by John Waters.

The fact that a body of water this size is sitting, wasted in the middle of a land in constant drought is mind blowing and sad. The inhabitants are kind and very brave to live there in the heat and the smell. Most don't have other options but some choose this life, and almost everyone there believes that the initiative set up by Sonny Bono prior to his death will someday restore the sea to it's original glory.

We really enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back. The beach was quarantined but we went anyways. Crunchy with high salt and fish scale content, the sand seems coarse and eerie. The whole thing is absolutely gorgeous. A shoreline without people is a tough concept to understand if you're from California, but the ghost town appeal holds it's own weight.

There's a bar called the Ski Inn at Bombay Beach with $2 beers and a comfortable back patio. We could have purchased property on the sea that very day, they are so cheap. A psychotic idea or not, we consider it. At the least it would be a fantastic base for desert activities and photo shoots.

And now for less bleak, consumer-centric fun in Palm Springs! The ever-marvelous Jack booked us at the Movie Colony Hotel, which is a super fun 21+ spot smack in the middle of Downtown Palm Springs. In addition to noteworthy architecture and adorable furnishings, the hotel pool and jacuzzi are open 24 hours and they have a free cocktail hour each evening. This was super fun since we were the lone Americans in a hotel full of travelling Euros, and everyone came out for a cocktail chat. I made sure to pack only my 70's Palm Springsy best, so I spent a lot of our extremely lazy time in fancy old lady mumus and ridiculously tall platforms.

As for fun activities in Palm Springs; thrifting and eating take the cake. Since it was my bday, Jack insisted on a 12 store thrift shopping spree, which certainly resulted in an afternoon nap on our private sun deck.

In review, star items included the perfect fitting black floor length 70s event gown, beaded sweaters galore, the perfect pair of olive green military boots for winter, a stark white Chanel sweat suit for resale, and a pair of what seem to be dark teal polyester metal/chain embellished...mariachi pants. It sounds crazy, but they look fantastic on.

Incredible treasures and rest obtained, we hit the trendy bars and restaurants that Palm Springs boasts. I tried a lot of fancy girly drinks and snacked on light appetizers.

Short reviews:

Lulu's was amazing. With an all day happy hour and deliciously fresh menu, it's an absolute go-to. Favorites included the House Mojito and the Tuna Tartar Tower.

Jake's is another favorite delicious spot. We were saddened to have found it later in the trip-I cannot stress enough just how delicious it was! Favorites included the Horse Raddish Bloody Mary.

Cheeky's and Birba: owned by the same company, sitting right next door to one another. Cheeky's for breakfast and lunch, Birba for dinner and drinks. Everything was incredibly yummers, not to mention locally farmed. Why leave that block? Favorites included the Oh Nancy! vodka beverage with muddled lemon, and the Habanero Margarita for the boy.

The Chop House was our big meal. A classic steakhouse with a fun twist, they wrecked us with a gigantic steak for the boy and a perfect rack of lamb for yours truly! A muddled strawberry martini (muddling is so hot right now) and a birthday chocolate mouse...and it was bed time.

Trio had a fun and eclectic vibe where everyone seemed to already be friends. Favorites included their Russian Mule (a favorite everywhere for me) and the fact that they encourage liquor sampling before one orders.

The Ace Hotel is Palm Spring's newest hip-est spot. We found it entirely adorable but the service and drinks left plenty to be desired and there were cockroaches everywhere! The coolest parts were probably the classic trailer taco truck next to the pool, and the unpleasant yet absolutely beautiful tattooed hipster girls running around.

Overall, the Imperial Valley and Palm Springs was an amazing trip, as were the strangely foggy drives to and from. If you are sick of the plastic thrills in Las Vegas, try the dirt and decomposing thrills of the Salton Sea! Or the illogically green lawn thrills of Palm Springs.

One last note: Currently obsessed with South African Zef group Die Antwoord, we had very little else on our speakers which was the perfect sound track for a high energy/ghost town/hot summer/bright colored dive bars kind of trip.

Yesterday I had the privilege of styling a shoot for Kome Parnell. I always love working with Kome, as she is one of the most fun people ever. Sharing with us an incredible empty loft space overlooking the harbor and Little Italy, Kome also shared some of the art hidden on other floors of the building.

Last weekend, I enjoyed a delightful photo shoot with my dear friend Emily James. Always an amazing photographer, Emily is brilliant at capturing the most perfect angle and emotion in each image. One of the bonuses about being close with her is that she constantly carries 3 cameras, knows your angles an occasionally surprises you with a shot of yourself that looks like an Avedon.
Emily shared one of her favorite spots with us, which featured lovely afternoon-lit woods, two amazing abandoned bridges, and a building addressed 666. There is plenty more to say about the area but those are my favored talking points.
With the incredibly beautiful goddess of a model Stephanie Rayline, and flawless hair and makeup by Jennifer Kolhagen, the shoot went great! As usual, I forgot to sneak shots of all the outfits, but enjoy these peaks and stay tuned for the official ones.

Music Video Monday with Little Hurricane

Such a wild week! So behind on posts...
Beyond excited to share a brand new music video from Little Hurricane. Filmed during their first residency at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, "Crocodile Tears" was filmed as the official music video for upcoming indie film "200,000 Dirty" (starring Coolio! How coolio!).
Little Hurricane wrote this song for the official film score, and featured it on their debut album "Homewrecker". "200,000 Dirty" was written, directed and produced by Timothy L. Anderson, who also directed the music video. I had a brief opportunity to meet the dedicated young triple threat, and found him to be entirely fascinating.

Capturing the Heart of Alene

Last week my mother's family held a reunion at a charming house on Lake Coeur D' Alene, in the pan handle of Idaho. Open spaces are always impressive for a city girl, but I cannot stress enough just how beautiful the massive lake was, or how refreshing and important it felt to get away from the hustle bustle. Owning a lake house that is sure to glitter through hundreds of looming black trees at night has now anchored itself on my life's to do list. 40 minutes of windy mountainous lake driving from town felt like some sort of living postcard or lucid dream.
Time spent laughing with and enjoying my eccentric family was the soul food that I didn't know I was desperately hungry for. You know it's love when you can just hug someone for ages and breathe them in, and I admit to doing so with every last member of our 20+ party. Plus it was just plain fun.
From wake boarding or tubing behind the boat to visiting friends on house boats with water slides, to living life from delicious home made meal to meal, to visiting Coeur D' Alene's over 10 thrift stores (yes, I said over 10, in a city with less than 50,000 people. I never thought I'd be out-thrifted but my gran certainly wore me out one day with a limitless patience for second hand shops).
Coeur D'Alene also boasts a magnificent U shaped port-walk where you can enjoy a 10 minute stroll surrounded in water, insane public parks with stone cliffs over the lake that seem as if they were made just to jump off, great restaurants, several looming resorts, a floating golf green, and the invention of water skiing!
Enjoy some captures from the trip, when I could actually be bothered to carry my camera. And if you harbor a lust for the Great Northwest or a need for a getaway, I strongly encourage a visit.
Endless thanks to my grandparents for making this week happen, for creating the insanity that is my family and for liking us anyways <3

Stealing the Show

Less than 24 hours after Little Hurricane rocked Lollapalooza, the dirty blues duo played two awesome sets at the San Diego Music Awards. They invited us to tag along to the show where they were nominated for four different awards. After a fun night of tropical beverages and laughs, Little Hurricane took home three different San Diego Music Awards! Dominating the categories of Best Alternative Band, Best Alternative Album, and Album of the Year- it sounds like a couple of local fireplace mantels are filling up fast!

Filming the Queen of the Nile

Last weekend, we filmed the music video for Phaero's Queen of the Nile (Michael Deakers Remix) at a 1970s wonderstyle beach house in Del Mar. After a hair and makeup flake-a-thon, Jen Kolhagen and Megan McDaniel saved our lives and worked overtime on our beautiful performers. Filmed and directed by White Gorilla Media with lighting design and cinematography by Chris Patterson, the intricate shoot was an amazing experience. The tireless can-do production team perfected every shot and manifested Phaero's vision with a brilliant and creative eye. Phaero and each and every performer on set delivered such grand performances! I styled the entire shoot and the beautiful people present made everything I put on them look delicious. The shoot was a major success, and a very fun weekend. I've seen most of the mesmerizing footage, and I cannot wait to share our atrocities with the world! Endless thanks to all of the cast and crew for your dedication and positivity, and for making it such an amazing project. In case you've been living in San Diego (but under a rock) here is an update on the dirty blues duo that has been blowing the Southwest away, town by town. They aren't going to brag about it, but I will. CC and Tone of Little Hurricane have been taking names and breaking hearts everywhere they go.

On August 7, they will be playing the 20th Anniversary of Lollapalooza in Chicago. Yeah, THE Lollapalooza.

Nominated for 4 different San Diego Music Awards, on August 8th they will be playing the SDMAs at Humphrey's.

Late September, Austin welcomes Little Hurricane back for Austin City Limits, which is like South by Southwest but a lot more exclusive and elite.

If you love them or haven't heard of them, buy their debut album Homewrecker on itunes. It's beyond worth it.

A Tremor in the Force

Comic Con begins today and is injecting downtown San Diego with a much needed dose of weird. Armed with a cozy Metalocolypse shirt, metal accessories and camera; I'm ready. The walking show is always majestic, and if you are lucky you will meet one of your favorite stars! Last year, Lou Ferrigno hit on my best friend while one of the vampire extras from Buffy told me about filming the episode that caused me several months of 6th grade nightmares. This year I can only hope for lots of amusing costumed folk, though it would be incredible to run into any old randoms from the casts of Harry Potter, True Blood, Community....Tim and Eric, Awesome Show Great Job usually host a nerdcon behind the convention center-check it out if you get the chance!

Swami Summer: If you are looking for the most amazing thing to do every Saturday night, tune in to Swami on San Diego's FM 94.9 from 10pm-1am. The hot mess of a love pile that I call my best friends will now be celebrating the summer weekly by dancing our Saturday nights away in a courtyard or patio near you. I hate to admit it because he seems like kind of a jerk, but Swami features the best possible combination of oldies/lovies/obscure punk/mysterious fortune teller music/seriously soulful stuff and is accompanied by almost no commercials if you listen online. And no, I'm not sponsored by them-it's just that good.

Misunderstood Monsters

This week was the opening of Tim Burton's art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. My amazing grandmother was invited to the opening night festivities, and was cool enough to let me be her plus one. I haven't seen such a hectic wrap-around-the-block line of goth kids since last year's Harry Potter midnight show (guilty: nerd.). Thankfully, a rogue security guard took pity on my lovely white haired date and let us blatantly cut everyone.
The layout was beautiful and the art blew my mind. It took me almost 2 hours to make my way through the exhibit because every last item was beyond fascinating. From the hand drawn book that Burton sent to Disney when he was in high school (and their feedback!), to the glow in the dark merry go round animated with a custom soundtrack by Danny Elfman, to the Edward Scissorhand suit and scissor hands!!! Twas a costumer's dream come true, and potentially an art critic's nightmare.
Tim Burton is known for his misunderstood monsters, curt caricatures and sweet minded appreciation for the underworld. To call him dark would be almost narrow minded at this point, but his fascination with the dead has changed both the entertainment and art worlds for good.
Enjoy some of my favorite pieces: photography was quite strictly forbidden in the exhibit so I had to buy the big, magnificent book that was compiled of Mr. Burton's scratch art to share with you. Be sure to visit the exhibit yourself, and certainly take a tissue because the amount of creativity alone is quite moving.

Feeling refreshed and energized after a weekend of friends, family and (I'll admit it) sexy vampires.
The rumors are true; the Midsummer party at Fusion Glass Co. in La Mesa on Saturday night got rolled by the PO-lice. Wing-ed and glittered artists dressed as faerie folk tend to party pretty hard, but when Julian Hard Cider sponsors a shindig, you'd better expect some mayhem.
Sunday held one of the most beautiful (and delicious) bridal showers ever, for my dear and talented long-time friend Emily. Lovely were the ladies, the weather, the cocktails, and the endless snacks at the home of one of my very favorite families.
Wrapping up the evening at Kaycee's with blood orange spritzers and a secret double premier of True Blood was a exactly what my heart desired. Feeling exuberant and ready for this week! As the actuality of Summer sinks in, I'm frightened to recall a New Year's celebration that felt like yesterday. Though the accelerating lapse of time seems to feel like some slippery object that I can't quite grasp, I try to avoid the associated melancholy by recharging my mind with beauty of all kinds.

Enjoy some inspiration and admiration from the past 110 years or so. However insignificant in the grand scheme, they existed at a time and place and were created by people sharing a common adoration for glamour and the art form that is life. These moments were worthwhile, just like every little breath that we tend to overlook. Please appreciate your next, and if you are with friends: kiss them!

Endless thanks to the dexterous Jessika Levine for putting together another beauteous photo shoot using brand new Jennafer Grace garments. The impossibly cool Bethany Rose has an inhuman gift for making anything look haute and was such an easy human being to enjoy.
Andrea Duggan created an amazing hair story out of real and synthetic pieces, while Tiffany Adibi provided the raw, ever evolving makeup. The combination added a much appreciated Lolita-Goth-Bride-of-Frankenstein mood that was a true relief from the ornate sweetness of the gingerbread houses.
Would love to blame such vacancy on a fabulous trip or a crazy new project, but the truth is I've been working hard on new pieces for the shops and styling/designs for Phaero's epic upcoming video. Will check in soon with inspirations at the least.

One of my favorite teams right now, Jessika Levine and Kristina Winder borrowed some Jennafer Grace Spring garments for a recent shoot. I love Jessika's ethereal photographic perspective and the way that Kristina's coloring lights up any image. She is a fantastic young model on whom I have a super illegal crush since and she reminds me of a very light and fancy dessert.

Off to Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend. Phaero and I will be catching up on inspiration and researching the theme for our third music video collaboration. Naturally, the theme is prostitution & sex trafficking, the archetype/sexualization of women and the psychology of what women think that men find sexually attractive.

If you are in Vegas this weekend, don't miss little hurricane playing at the Cosmopolitan's Chandelier Room Saturday and Sunday evenings. Find us there at night and poolside all day, taking lots of notes and making sure to stay hydrated.

Fashion Group International at SD History Center

This week I was honored to be shown with three marvelous San Diego designers at a Trend Presentation for Fashion Group International. The presentation took place at the newly revamped San Diego History Center in Balboa Park, and the mimosas were-a-flowing. I stole some (technically illegal) pictures of my girls clad in fresh Jennafer Grace Spring looks. Museums have terrible lighting when they are closed, but that's just photographic karma for using flash in a no-flash-zone.
These Jennafer Grace looks are all available in local San Diego stores and via email, including the fashion turbans that I can hardly keep in stock. They are a fantastic alternative to second-day-dirty hair, or in my case, weirdly grown out bangs that I feel endlessly fickle about trimming.
