Almost Famous

Jennafer Grace on style.com!!!...Well, sort of. The amazing CC over at Little Hurricane was interviewed by style.com and was kind enough to mention our vintage inspired collaborations in a piece called "Beauty and the Beat", as well as some really fantastic makeup advice and tricks for eating on the road!
While CC is entirely self sufficient with her distinctly adorable style, I do love the chance to dress her. I mean, look at her. On a bad day, CC makes drumming her ass off in a non-stretch fitted dress (that someone's tiny waisted grandmother likely wore to their winter formal, in the days before transfats) look flawlessly easy. Potentially because, it is to her.
Tomorrow marks the re-release of Little Hurricane's album Homewrecker. With added songs, intros and fine tuning-I've been listening to it nonstop since scoring an early copy from their sold out Casbah show last Saturday. Buy yours on itunes, or through their fun new website (also arriving tomorrow).

Marvelous Madge

Last week I styled a super fun retro inspired shoot. I had a great time playing with monochromatic red, which I simply adored on the milky skinned Traelee. We shot in the most amazingly precious house in Mission Hills, San Diego and I was lucky enough to pull clothing and accessories from the ever fabulous Bad Madge & Co in South Park. Absolutely loving the final product, and I hope you do too!

Backstage at Nordstrom Spring 2012 Events

As usual, Nordstrom is abuzz with Spring line launches and personal appearances. Enjoy a backstage glimpse at beautiful samples and parties!

VERSUS: Versace's newest project. The first line is very sporty and wearable, using mermaid-inspired colors and prints in classic Versace ways. Loved the T-strappy-candy-cane-heels with the sexiest arch I've ever seen...

JIMMY CHOO: Spring Line Showcase
Reliably chic, Jimmy Choo shared their Spring/Summer Line at a delightful luncheon. With classically beautiful heels stapling their perspective, I was enamored by a huge navy leather tote, as well as electric green velvet cut-out heels.

STEVE MADDEN: Personal Appearance at Nordstrom Fashion Valley, showcasing new Spring looks. More green velvet, I loved it! Steve stayed long beyond his set time, making sure that every last person in line got a hug, autograph and gift bag. What a crazy day! As an avid buyer of Steve Madden, I can honestly say that it is near impossible to beat his prices and quality.

VINCE CAMUTO: Personal Appearance. This man has his hands in everything. From clothing to shoes, accessories, hats, sunglasses-all of which are adorable, wearable, and for every woman. We had a great time with the Vince Camuto team, and it was a pleasure to meet him. I completely adored his navy polka dot romper. Summer necessity!

Don't Futz With My Cream

The world of Youtube is a mystery to me, but apparently there are celebrities within it! This week, the notorious Freddie Wu created an edge-of-the-seat thriller at the famous Mr. Frostie's.
In case I've never fully explained, Mr. Frostie's is a San Diego staple, owned and operated by the same family since the 1950s. My amazing/sweet/handsome boyfriend Jack happens to be a part of said family, which is where we met as children. (Insert tear jerking small town romance music, or the sound track from The Notebook. Or The Time Traveler's Wife. Really, anything with Rachel McAdams).
Adorable, precious, sweeter-than-soft-serve stories aside, check out Jack's breif role in a fun little video made only 2 days ago. They were kind enough to provide a behind-the-scenes vid as well. Enjoy!
