Saturnalia Spring Editorial in En Vie Magazine

Ecstatic to share Emily Soto's images for our Spring Editorial in En Vie Magazine! This shoot was an amazing opportunity at an abandoned amusement park where eerie beauty was everything. Featuring models Jessica Minter with Willow Management and Alex Womack, hair by Andrea Duggan and makeup by Jen Kolhagen.
Styling was a blast; I pulled from Cecilia Boutique, Junc Boutique, Bad Madge & Co, and plenty of good ole Jennafer Grace. Enjoy our images from the magazine, as well as other beauties from the day.
Thanks so much to everyone who helped make this possible!

TEN$ION

After months of anticipation, Die Antwoord finally revisited Southern California. Determined to be front and center, we booked a room at the adorably historic (and certifiably haunted?) Hotel Figueroa in downtown LA. The decor was Moroccan fabulous, and somehow very homey for us. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to escape from everything-particularly from amenities. In the middle of the Staples Center's mess of tall buildings and a 360 degress view of concrete, it looms a dark, cozy and very welcome oasis.
After lunch at Roscoe's, we perched by the hot tub with books and energized for a rowdy show. Good decision.

Lighting and crowds contributed to fuzzy pictures, but who cares? If you aren't familiar with this band, you need to spend some time on youtube. You will either adore or completely despise them.
Twas a rowdy, violent, energetic show indeed. I proudly walked away with a fat lip from a certain front man crowd surfing. The trio wowed and sounded surprisingly great live, considering just how electronic they tend to be. After the show we were covered in everyone else's sweat and grinning ear to ear like fools. After all, Die Antwoord is here to remind us that being fancy and disgusting often go hand in hand. $UCCE$$.

Someone I'll Always Know

Another fun video style breakdown. Surely this video has wowing for weeks, but I found it just in time for Valentine's Day! Thanks to Phaero for the share <3 The color palette alone is worth a look, while all the other perfect details fall into place quite sweetly. Following is a little splash of visual inspiration!
Now please enjoy "Somebody That I Used To Know" by Gotye, featuring Kimbra. Speaking of Kimbra, I heard a rumor that our friends little hurricane might be playing with her soon...will keep you updated!

Fresh Junc

Jeffrey Parish has created a well deserved name for himself in San Diego. As a designer, he creates both Couture and Ready to Wear garments that simply won't stay on the racks.
His designs can be spotted recently in international fashion magazines such as Coco and many of San Diego's favorite press.
As small business owner, Jeffrey meticulously chooses rare and exclusive items to match a sophisticated and austere palette-not to mention your budget. I want it all, and I tend to hoard it all for styling emergencies and photo shoots.
A recent renovation of Jeffrey's own Junc Boutique in South Park is sure to inspire. Pulled from the corners of Jeffrey's mysterious mind are details and rarities that will have you dying to move in-or at least shop!
Stop by South Park's cutest block for literally any occasion.
With Valentine's Day approaching, there are unbelievable chocolates including a spicy/sweet/heat/treat that I will not stop inhaling and some amazingly gorgeous new jewelry arrivals. There are beautiful new lines (some of which are exclusive to Junc) of dresses and separates that will mentally whisk you to a french flea market. As an early Valentine's surprise, my honey gave me Junc's hyper-rare Gravedigger Necklace, featuring a precious little prairie dog footsy. Visit Junc to order one for your demented Valentine!
