Thanks to Debbie Solan for conquering and handing over a pile of pictures from last week's photo shoot in so little time. I adore the images, and the memories we made capturing them.

Arts Collide Photoshoot II
In preparation for our SDVAN deadline, my Arts Collide Team is completing a series of photo shoots. This week, we had the supreme fortune of working with Shanika La Trisa. Thanks again to Megan McDaniel for beautiful makeup and such timely, easy going professionalism. And always to Debbie Solan for her sublime taste and photographic skills!

Arts Collide Photo Shoot
What a phenomenal Friday. We came, we conquered, we brought back The Banana Clip. Then one of us got stung by a bee.
In preparation for my Art Meets Fashion showcases this Spring, twas time to document our work for the review of SDVAN. Our team has chosen Diatoms as our theme. These colorful micro-organisms control the fate of our species, in addition to the palette of my collaborative team.
We shot five of my 10+ looks with the phenomenal Stephanie Rayline, featuring makeup by the magnificent Megan McDaniel. Photographed by Debbie Solan, of Arts Collide and Fusion Glass Co.
We used some beautiful pieces from Fusion Glass, and created fun new accessories from their dychroic pieces. Enjoy a few snapshots from our day, and look out for official images from yesterday, and more Arts Collide photo shoots on the works...

raindrops on roses, and whiskers on kittens
Living in a blur of grateful creation. Working hard towards Art Meets Fashion, custom items and my traveling Spring trunk show has been amazing albeit time consuming. Looking forward to getting out for an Arts Collide photo shoot this Friday on Helix with Stephanie Rayline before we lose her to Brussels.
More on that later!
In the meantime, I've been chugging copious amounts of tea and feeling like a teen witch's spell of gratitude has been cast upon me. With sunny days threatening to take over Southern California again, I am ecstatic for some thick fog to use up my winter favorites a few last times.

Currently obsessed with:
Edges of storms, sunsets, cloud variations, being an amateur weather forecaster who bases their climatic predictions on Native American superstition.
This architectural clutch, brought to me by my brilliant and stylish-sexy-teacher-soul-mate, Joanne.
These Jessica Simpson (gasp!) shoes, featuring a 2.75" front platform and a solid 6.5" heel.
Given to me by the love of my life and potential common-law spouse, Jack.
This vintage rabbit fur coat; a high end thrift gift from my impossibly beautiful, kind and wise love-friend, Sarah. If she weren't married to another amazing human being, I would swoop her right up for myself.
Cactus flowers are everywhere at my house, thanks to my green thumbed Nina.
Improbably rich-colored orchids, also thanks to Nina. If you can believe it, this was grown outdoors.
The most interesting part about these figurines is that the artist taught an entire town how to create them. The inhabitants of this remote and starving town covered every building and street with cheerful figurines, even building fences out of them. This created a tourism industry that currently sustains the town and its inhabitants.
In the worst situations, people can be inspired and creative. So what's our excuse?

Video Sunday
Watch every moment of this beautiful film created by Ruth Hogben and featuring the Avante Garde creations and stylings of Florence based designer Gareth Pugh Pitti. It fascinates me to watch artists combine classic performance art and technology to create such striking visuals. Enjoy!

Spruce Street
Trillions of thanks to Tanya McAnear:::Fashion Show Producer, Photographer, Educator, Fashionista Extraordinaire. Today Tanya was kind enough to shoot some Jennafer Grace separates at the Spruce Street Suspension Bridge. With the assistance of Ian Grove and the untouchable model stylings of Stephanie Rayline, it was a fantastically productive morning. I love all the photos and had a terrible time narrowing them down, but here are some potentially repetitive favorites.
