National Charity League Poway Chapter Fashion Show November 15, 2009

Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of styling a major North County event- the National Charity League Poway Chapter Fashion Show. National Charity League, Inc. (NCL) is a non-profit national organization of mothers and daughters who join together in community involvement within local chapters throughout the United States. Its goal is to foster a sense of community responsibility in the girls as well as to strengthen the mother-daughter relationship. The daughters participate in a six-year program of philanthropic work, educational activities and cultural events.

Stylist Courtney Davis and I pulled the show from San Diego’s chicest boutiques, among which was The Local Boutique (where I happen to sell an item or two). Other fun boutiques we visited were Swirl in Encinitas, Tres Chic in Poway, Shimmer & Lovestitch in Chula Vista. Look how cute Courtney looks when she's shlepping!

Before the show we held a massive fitting. Here, Sonia and Brittany look fresh trying on their Jennafer Grace outfits borrowed from The Local Boutique.

The Junior’s Fashion Show was held at the gorgeous Rancho Bernardo Inn. The theme was “Wild About Fashion”, and the event boasted gorgeous decorations and a one-of-a-kind stage.

The girls looked amazing and rocked it! After days of hard work, practicing their choreography with fashion show producer Tanya McAnear, the girls strutted their stuff and pulled off a perfect show. We all had a blast, and a long day simply flew by.

Immediately after, the boutiques from which we styled the show held a pop up boutique in the foyer. Due to the great deals and unique items, a mad dash ensued but I believe everyone got out alive.
Before the chaos began, I managed to catch Alisa, Jessica, Audrey, and the Haileys before they joined the swarm. Gem toned outfits by Shimmer!
